Scalp psoriasis is a situation where there is an overproduction in the cells on your scalp leading to the formation of plaque. Treatment of the disease varies since the situation can change from mild to severe scalp psoriasis.

The treatment of scalp psoriasis is easy and needs one follow the instructions involved for the disease to cure. The steps make it easy for the medication to get into skin curing the disease.

Curing the scales.

Application of salicylic acid gels which will make the scales easy to remove. You can use keratolytics treatments which are designed, to help dissolve the scales. There are other softeners like urea and phenol that one can use. Use a brush to make the scales loose on your skin. Do not brush too vigorously as it may break your skin. Shampoo your scalp to get rid of the scales using tar shampoo or salicylic acid shampoo. After shampooing your skin, you can use a conditioner to reduce pain. While your scalp is still dumped, gently apply emollients like lotions, thick creams and oils. The applications of all medications should be done sparingly to prevent skin irritations.
